AppleOption Short-Term Portfolio is proud to announce that as of the close today, May 27th 2008, our portfolio has gained 102% year-to-date!
The AppleOption Short-Term Portfolio started 2008 with $10,000 and the goal to out perform Apple common stock performance. After five months of active trading, the portfolio has effectively doubled the initial capital! We closed the day with a net liquidating value of $20,220.93 with more than half in cash ($11,556.43). Above is the ThinkorSwim screenshot of the STP performance. The best part is the fact that our year-to-date 102% gain is after commission and fees!
In addition, we have some exciting news! AppleOption has partnered with ThinkorSwim to provide an Auto-Trading Service. We are in the final stages of getting the system synced. If you are interested in auto-trading, we will be starting an AppleOption Auto Trading Portfolio (ATP) in June. While the final steps in setting up this service are being completed, get your ThinkorSwim account ready. We will look to start a new portfolio with $10,000 beginning as soon as the system is ready.
